Après un été fort occupé, Le bruit prend une pause cet automne. Entre juin et la mi-octobre, nous nous sommes produits dans plus de 23 concerts, festivals et ateliers donnés au Québec, en Colombie Britannique et en France. Nous avons passé des moments fabuleux devant des foules enthousiastes et les ateliers d’apprentissage nous ont permis de rencontrer des gens merveilleux. La sortie de notre nouvel album « Les vents qui ventent » a été soulignée très positivement autant par les revues de presse du Québec que des États-Unis.
Quelque projets se dessinent déjà pour l’année 2015 :
-Une tournée en Virginie de l’ouest et en Pensylvanie en mars (voir calendrier)
-Camp de musique « Festival of American fiddle tunes » à Port Townsnend en Orégon du 28 juin au 4 juillet (voir calendrier)
-Camp de Musique « Souches à l’oreille » St-Alexandre, Qc, du 27 au 30 août (voir calendrier)
Allez, bon automne à tous!Fall greetings from the Pacific Northwest and Quebec, where the autumn colors are peaking–we have a ways to catch up here in Portland.
Le Bruit is on break after a busy summer and early fall season. Between June and mid-October, we performed and taught at 23 concerts, festivals, and workshops in Quebec, British Columbia, and France. We had an incredibly wonderful time everywhere we went, with great hosts, wonderful audiences, and amazing workshop participants. Our new album,Les vents qui ventent, is now available on CD Baby and has gotten really great press both in the U.S. and Quebec. And we are all just as good friends and on the same musical page as before–in fact, it’s better than ever…
So we are already laying some plans for 2015. So far, here is where you can catch us:
– The Upper Potomac Spring Music Weekend (March 20-22, 2015, Shepherdstown, WVA): Le Bruit will be on staff for this week-end of classes, concerts, workshops, and jam sessions in historic Shepherdstown, WVA. This is a great event with lots of opportunities to learn and jam.
– Susquehanna Folk Music Society (March 27, Harrisburg, PA): We’ll be playing a 7:30pm concert.
– Festival of American Fiddle Tunes (June 28-July 5, Port Townsend, WA): Le Bruit will be on staff at this venerable week-long total-immersion workshop in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Sounds like there is going to be a killer line-up on staff. Can’t wait!
– Camp Souches à l’oreille (August 27-30 , St-Alexandre, Québec): We will also be staffing at this three-day camp which is the brainchild of our good friends Rachel Aucoin and Sabin Jacques (Tidal Wave).
