New England Tour in May 2017

Dear New England friends,
Watchez-vous! Le Bruit court dans la Ville is headed your way! It’s Le Bruit’s second New England Tour (May 5-14). This time Lisa will be launching the tour by giving the opening speech at the Young Tradition Vermont Weekend in Burlington, an annual event which showcases young musicians, singers and dancers, and the mentoring relationships that continue to allow traditional music and dance to grow and thrive. On the 7th, André and Normand will join her to present a concert first set  in Burlington (the final event of the Young Tradition Vermont Weekend) honoring Louis Beaudoin (a great Franco-American fiddler who introduced me to Québécois music waaaaaay back when and whose family is close kin with Normand’s partner, Diane Beaudoin). The second half of the show features dear friend and fellow-Beaudoin-fan Pete Sutherland and the irrepressible La famille Beaudoin. Then, we’re off to a week-long run of concerts and workshops in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, with stops in:

Monday, May 8: 4-5:30pm Band lab workshop at Vermont Violins in Montpelier, VT
Monday, May 8: 7pm concert and jam session in East Montpelier, VT
Tuesday, May 9: 7pm concert at the Kaufmann Theater, Tillotson Center, NH
Weds, May 10: 7pm house concert in Bowdoin, ME
Thursday, May 11: 7pm concert in Farmington, ME
Friday, May 12: 7:30pm concert in Brattleboro, VT
Saturday, May 13: 7:30pm concert in Watertown, MA (a Revels-sponsored event! with special guest Josée Vachon)
Sunday, May 14: morning workshop in Cambridge, Ma (time and location tbc)

Details for all these events are available on the homepage. We are so delighted to have the chance to tour in New England. Hope to see you at one of these events! Please tell your friends about these dates and give me a shout if you have some ideas about PR for our New England shows and workshops!

Cheers,
Lisa, André and Normand
